The Red Devils Set to Secure German Striker Lea Schüller from the Bavarian Giants
Manchester United are on the verge of completing the signing for prolific German forward Lea Schüller in a permanent move away from the Frauen-Bundesliga champions.
A Major Acquisition for United
The forward, with half a year left on her deal, has been a prolific goal-getter for both club and country. She has netted over 100 goals for the German giants and found the net 54 times in 82 caps for Germany. This signing is viewed as a marquee coup for the WSL team.
Her exit from Munich has been anticipated after she was seen holding back emotions while applauding the German club’s supporters following a win over Bayer Leverkusen recently.
It was reported in December that the German women's top flight was losing one of its top forwards. Per reports, all the paperwork for the transfer have now been completed.
Consistent Goal Threat to Strengthen the Forward Line
The experienced striker's signing should represent a major boost to the team's forward line. Schüller has been remarkably consistent in front of goal in Germany’s top flight.
- For seven straight seasons, up to and including the last term, she achieved at least a double-digit tally of league goals.
- She won the top scorer award in 2021-22 season with a haul of 16 goals.

Securing Schüller’s signature coincides with a period when the club appear to be building positive momentum.
