The former president's Family Member Gets Expert Advice from Golf Legend Woods Prior to Professional Golf First Appearance
The rising star boasts substantial social media presence
Kai Trump will have numerous prominent cheerleaders as she starts her professional golf debut this Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be related to a former US president, obtained a sponsor's invitation to play at the Annika competition in the Sunshine State.
Her grandfather, someone who loves golf, possesses multiple courses worldwide and regularly competes against Kai.
"He's fairly competent. I can't reveal details but we play tight competitions," she stated.
Kai explained that her grandfather, who cannot attend, told her: "Just stay calm."
"He essentially suggested to compete and have fun," she continued.
"In my eyes, he's just a regular grandfather. He's not attending this weekend. He's busy with presidential duties, so he's somewhat preoccupied."
As an amateur, Kai has played in just three tournaments recently and has ranking 461 in AJGA rankings.
Yet she's able to get advice from 15-time major champion, romantically involved with her mother.
"He represents the greatest golfer worldwide," the young golfer said.
"And he's a more impressive individual. He told me to go out there, enjoy myself, following whatever happens."
The golfer will compete against some of top competitors in women's golf at this tournament, featuring world number two the champion, British Charley Hull, professional Thompson and last year's winner Lilia Vu.
Tournament organizers commented that involving Kai brings the sport to new audiences, especially among the next generation.
Kai has millions of followers and has started a personal apparel and wellness company.
She begins at late afternoon GMT.
