Barcelona Set to Play First Match at Upgraded Camp Nou over the weekend
Barcelona have announced they are set to host at the still-under-construction Camp Nou on Saturday. They will welcome the Basque side in domestic competition 30 months since relocating to allow renovations to start.
“We’ve dreamed about the return. Now, it’s here. We’re back home. Back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Attendance will be limited with 45,401 fans will be allowed to watch under the licence granted. When completed, it will accommodate over 104,000 attendees, up from the previous 99,000. The club said recent additions comprise a renovated tunnel for players and new dressing rooms.
Recent Activities
Barça organized a public practice at the Camp Nou on 7 November. They mentioned they were hoping for permission from Uefa to host the next European match versus the German side next month at the stadium. They have been hosting matches at the Olympic Stadium.
